Bright Light Lutheran Church

Bright Light Lutheran Church (Holy Trinity Korean congregation) is a vibrant community founded on the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, who came to atone for our sins. We uphold the Reformation principles established by Martin Luther, emphasizing a return to the gospel and the original essence of the church. Our congregation firmly believes that faith alone, Scripture alone, and grace alone satisfies all spiritual needs.

Bright Light Lutheran Church is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and the WELS Pacific Northwest District.

Our pastor, Park, has an extensive theological background. He graduated from Han-Young University and Sejong University in Seoul, Korea, and completed his theological studies at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in the Unites States. Pastor Park is currently pursuing an STM degree at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.

His family supports him, including his wife, Amelia Park, and their children, David and Ashley Park. Before moving to the United States in 1998, Pastor Park served at Kwang-ju Lutheran Church and Mokpo Lutheran Church in Korea. Since 2000, he has been dedicated to serving the Holy Trinity Korean congregation here in Des Moines.

Services are on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity.
