The Christian church season called Lent goes from mid-February to early-April this year. It begins with Ash Wednesday and ends on the Saturday before Easter. Lent is 40 days long as a remembrance of Jesus’ 40 days being tempted in the desert.
The season of Lent reminds us of many opposites, including sin and grace, helplessness and hope, dark and light, and more. On the Sundays in Lent, we will consider one pair of opposites each week. The opposites teach us to look to God, who loves to show mercy through Jesus Christ. God wants to renew faith, bring hope, provide guidance for life, and grant blessings that extend even beyond this lifetime.
We worship each Sunday morning at 8:00 and at 10:30. You may attend either service. You are invited to come.
