Epiphany 4 (Feb. 1) Blessed are the meek

The way this world works and the way the kingdom of heaven works are often at odds with each other. In this world, people who are forceful and assertive and can promote themselves often get their way. In the kingdom of heaven, blessed are the meek (the humble), for they will inherit the earth. Today we consider this blessing spoken by Jesus himself.
