Good Friday (April 3) Lent opposites: cursed and blessed

Lent presents us with opposites that affect our entire existence.
Good Friday was not a good day for our Lord Jesus Christ. It was the day he suffered death. But even worse, it was the day he was cursed by God. You can hear it in his cry, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
As bad as all that was, our Lord Jesus Christ went through it all for a reason. He wanted us to receive God’s blessing.
This solemn evening we consider the opposites of being cursed and being blessed.
