Trinity 11 (Aug. 16) I’ll be satisfied with scraps of mercy

Jews were God’s chosen people, and Jesus came first for them. Yet a Canaanite woman, a Gentile, came out of nowhere and starting begging the Lord for mercy. Would he listen to her? His response to her, and her response to him, remain instructive for us whenever we come begging for his mercy.
