Trinity 16 (Sep. 20) That’s not fair

From our youngest days we were keen to spot unfairness. Another child got two lollipops when we got only one, and we were quick to say, “But that’s not fair!” Sometimes we observe God’s gracious ways with others, and we think we spot unfairness. But the Bible reminds us, “It does not depend on a person’s desire or effort but on God’s mercy.”
